In Sickness and in Tile

It's been a rough couple of weeks y'all!  The Little Missy got strep and RSV at the SAME time.  She was one sick baby.  I thought I was going to pull my hair out for real.  I love her to death but either J or myself have been lugging around a 21 lb weight for two solid weeks.  SHEW!!!  She is finally back to herself and more interested in playing on the floor and with her brother than being a human growth on our hips.

We are getting ready to completely gut the kids bathroom and I can't wait!!!  It needs it desperately.  The previous owners I think used one of those kits to paint the bath tub and now it is chipping off everywhere.  I just quit bathing the kids in there so now there are 4 people (and 2 hermit crabs) sharing one bathroom.  Pray we don't kill each other.

We've done a little pre-demolition to figure out what kind of substrate we are working with and called plumbers and glazers ect.  It has my head spinning!

We are going to use black and white tile similar to this tile.  We are definitely going with a pedestal sink.  There will be board and batten instead of bead board.  We are doing the white subway tile wall in the bath tub.  The tub is getting reglazed and there will be a new mirror and all new hardware.  I think we are even removing the door from the closet and  using baskets on the shelves in there for towels.  It's going to be a BIG project that is for sure.  I don't know how long it will take but I am ready.  I haven't picked a paint color just yet.  I know it won't be yellow like this lol.  Maybe this is a bad Pin-speration picture haha?  But its the closest thing I can find!  Anyways I will try to blog about the process as we go.  Wish us luck!!!
