Fall Shopping Excursion!!!

Super L and Little Missy spent the night with Nana and Pop Friday night.  Would you believe it was Little Missy's FIRST overnight?  She has never been away from her mama that long before.  I almost cried.  But J and I got a much needed date night out of it.  We went to Longhorn Steakhouse and sat at the bar watching the Olympics, drinking some icy cold Blue Moon and split a Porterhouse.  DELISH.  Then, we went home and watched 21 Jump Street which was not near as funny as I thought it would be but it was OK.

Saturday morning we got up and decided to do a little shopping.  I am in DIRE need of clothes.  Last winter I was pregnant (VERY) so everything I own is either really worn out, stretched out, or out of style.

One of the things I love about J is he is a very good shopper.  I'm not saying he loves it to death but he is willing to go with me and he will give me his opinion and he never complains.  It was nice to just have 24 hours to ourselves.  We kept relishing in the silence when we weren't talking haha!

Anyways I picked up some awesome Fall staples and I thought I would share.

First stop was Charming Charlie's.  I wanted to get a new purse since I am going back to work part time.  I almost always just throw my things in the diaper bag so I haven't carried one in quite a while.  Their website isn't so hot so here are some pics of what I bought that I took with my phone (sorry they are bad pics):

I got this midi dress on clearance to help me ride out the warm weather.  I also got that turquoise necklace but I got it at NY & Company.  I just slung it on there when I was putting everything away;)

I got this cute brown satchel.  My camera makes it look kind of cheap but it actually looks much nicer in person.

I got this cute leopard scarf. I can't wait for some cooler weather!

Our next stop was NY & Company.  They were having a big sale.  There I got:

The above mentioned turquoise necklance.  I also got this cardigan in grey.

These leopard flats.

This AMAZING chevron cardigan.  It's way cuter in person than it is here for some reason.

At this point J began complaining of hunger and a headache (lol) so we made a pit stop for lunch at Carraba's.  After a delicious lunch we moved onto Old Navy so I could get some more casual items.

I got this open knit cream sweater.  Its really light weight.

I got this polka dot sweater.  SO cute!  I have a great pair of black skinny jeans to wear with this.

I got these red skinny jeans.  I figured I would branch out a little into the whole "colored jean" trend.

I got this black and white stripe shell.  I wanted the brown leopard one too but they were out of it in my size.  I'm going to check back on Tuesday when they get in their new shipment.

And of course I got some soft v neck tees for every day comfort.  I got them in grey and pink.

Things I didn't find that I wanted:

Some gold ball stud earrings, leggings, chambray/denim shirt, some more tunic style tops, black and neutral flats, and brown boots.  I also really want some black Ugg boots this year.  I have loved my tan ones but they have had it.  They are the most comfortable shoe ever and they are great to throw on in the winter and run a quick errand or just to wear around the house when it's chill out.  I think I'll be asking Santa for the Uggs though;)
